👋 Hi, I’m Sahil Kapoor

I’ve always been that kid who asked why a little too often.

Why does this toy work like that?
Why can’t this process be simpler?
Why doesn’t this exist yet?

That same curiosity, often annoying and sometimes accidental, led me to take apart things, put them back together, and eventually start building things of my own. Over the years, those side experiments turned into full-blown products, companies, and teams.

đź›  What I do

Today, I lead Hawk MarTech, a product studio building products in:

  • Real-money gaming
  • Live sports data platforms
  • Opinion trading
  • AI tools for operators and creators

We move fast, experiment constantly, and solve real problems with skin in the game.

Earlier, I founded and scaled CarInfo, a platform that made vehicle ownership easier for millions. It reached over 70 million users, and I successfully exited the company in 2021.

I’ve also worked at ixigo and Gojek, building products across travel, food, mobility, and payments that reached millions of users.

🧠 What I believe

I believe in:

  • Starting small, shipping fast, and learning faster
  • Building from first principles and scaling with systems
  • Trusting teams over processes and choosing ownership over job titles
  • Staying curious, especially when things go wrong

Great products are rarely glamorous. Most of the work happens in the messy middle — debugging chaos, refining details, and solving problems that no one else wants to touch.

That’s where I feel at home.

✍️ What I share

This blog is a scratchpad of:

  • Things I’m building
  • Ideas I’m exploring
  • Mental models I use
  • Notes from books, people, and experiments
  • Sometimes, life theories or startup scars

If you’ve ever asked yourself â€śwhy doesn’t this exist?” - you’re in the right place.
